Pumpkins are a fall staple anymore and no, we are not talking about pumpkin spice everything that is unfortunately not made from pumpkins at all.  We can save that discussion for another day though. Pumpkins contain eye-healthy nutrients, including vitamins A, C and E, zinc, fiber, lutein, and zeaxanthin. These micronutrients help combat age-related macular degeneration, dry eye syndrome, and cataracts. So have fun carving your pumpkins this week and look up some great recipes to make the pumpkin do some good for your eyes as you carve the eyes on your jack-o-lantern.
